Contrary to popular belief Hinduism is NOT polytheistic instead it contemplates on that Divine Energy known as Bhagavan as a whole and then to further understand this Divine Sole Celestial Being, further contemplates on It by dividing It into various modes and forms.

Bhagavans power, to gain a greater understanding of It, is divided into masculine and feminine energies from which all things are born. Next the masculine and feminine energies are then sub-divided into the three modes of time and space which are creation, preservation and destruction, a cycle which all things must go through.

Bhagavan is the Only Celestial Divine Being there is.
There is none other than Bhagavan.

After all the literal meaning of the word Bhagavan is The Divine One

Bhagavan has within Itself, a combination of both Masculine energies (symbolised by Lord Kaal) and
Feminine energies (symbolised by Mother Kali)

Bhagavan also has within Itself, the combination of Creative energies (symbolised by Lord Brahma and Mother Sarasvati);
Preservative energies (symbolised by Lord Vishnu and Mother Lakshmi) and
Destructive energies (symbolised by Lord Shiva and Mother Gauri / Durga).
Each of which possesses its masculine and feminine aspects.

It is very crucial to understand that all the forms I mentioned above are just symbols of Bhagavans various modes and are not individual gods and goddesses themselves, a misconception many individuals possess.

Thus by this explanation one can see that Hinduism revolves around the worship of One God, One Divine Celestial Being, One Mass of Energy which controls ALL.

After all the literal meaning of the word Bhagavan is The Divine One

Dhiyo Yo Nah Prachodayat

We meditate upon the spiritual effulgence of that adorable supreme divine reality
Who is the source of the physical, the astral and the heavenly spheres of existence.
May that supreme divine being enlighten our intellect, so that we may realise the supreme truth.

That Is Absolute, This Is Absolute, Absolute Arises Out Of Absolute, If Absolute Is Taken Away From Absolute, Absolute Remains Absolute

Divine One, You are the Cause of All Causes

Bhagavan controls All. There is nothing within this universe that can go against Bhagavans will. Bhagavan is neither good nor evil, neither of darkness nor of light, neither masculine nor feminine for It is beyond duality, the pair of opposites that govern this world.

To understand this is to realise supreme reality and to embrace the Absolute, the Omnipotent, the Omnipresent, Omnificent and the All-Pervasive power that is Bhagavan.
