Nice slippery slope arguments from the previous two posters. There's a huge difference between a domesticated pet such as a cat or a dog and a wild animal like a Burmese python. Admit it, you don't want a python because you actually think it's a better companion than a dog. You want it for bragging rights. You want everyone to think you're so cool, interesting, and different, because the many domesticated animals and their hundreds of unique breeds aren't enough variety for you. If you're that passionate about snakes, get a degree in herpetology and find a job in a zoo - You don't need one in your living room in suburban Orlando.

I agree with Fastlane. The Humane Society are a bunch of money grubby lobbyist. Their agenda is that no one have pets. I agree that Joe Sumo shouldn't have loins, tigers, bears and poisonous snakes. People who do keep these animals should be certified and pay insurance. They should have the proper enclosure that is inspected by their local government. Yes the Burmese Python could sustain life in southern Florida but any further north the harsh winter would kill them. All the politician's who say these large snakes are a national problem are just uneducated.

i like the fact the movie was funded by the hsus which does put a dime to physically help any animal. only lobbying and pay there 2.5 million dollar CEO's salary. oh, when and with the make a movie about pit bulls. every night on the news another person dies. i have had snakes for 15 years , and never once being had one excape, attack anyone. or the bs that is preached. i cant wait till hsus tries and takes your dogs and cats away. then leave comments.

; Thank You! People which keep 'exotic animals' as pets are selfishly destroying the dna of the existing animals. I learned about this motion picture from Howard Stern. I have to wonder how many of these people keeping 'exotic pets' are severely mentally ill. These poor animals live isolated lives away from their own kind, and usually end up dead by bullets. That must be terrifying for these animals.

Saw the preview and met the cast at the Cleveland Film Festival in March, '10. Great film - with a message that needs seen.
