A depiction of steam from 1923-1963 on the LNER and British Railways
Here you will find my series 'North Eastern Steam' A fictional area set in the 1950's and 1960's on what was the North Eastern Region of British Railways.
The locomotives seen are mostly ex LNER locos, but you will find some LMS types plus the BR Standard Classes.
With this series im trying to capture what life was like when steam was still King of the Rails, when you could find many a small boy on station platforms taking numbers of A1s, A2s and not forgetting the 'Streaks'
