On page 193 of this textbook (We the People: The Citizen & The Constitution) you characterize law abiding gun owners as "paranoid hillbillies" with your picture of a modern day gun owner with a ridiculous firearm, overhauls, a Gomer Pyle hat, and 5 locks on his door. You further incorrectly state that possession of automatic firearms is prohibited in the U.S. THIS IS AN OUTRIGHT LIE! ANY law abiding, adult citizen who pays a $200 tax and asses a strict background check may own a fully automatic firearm. YOUR GLARING LIBERAL BIAS IS APPAULLING! This is what you teach our children about exercising a constitutional right? Why is it in the discussion question for ANY other amendment in the book you fail to ask questions like: "Is the first amendment as important today as it was in the eighteenth century?" OR: "Should citizens be able to speak freely in their cars?"
