What happened to "how to dehydrate and store food part 8"?
MsDancingNana (1 month ago)
I saw that you used frozen corn and dehydrated without any problems. What other kinds of frozen foods esp vegetables and fruits can be done this way? I am so new at this, I have not started yet but have ordered the dehydrator and I am so excited about the whole process and eating so much better. I don't know about the packets that you place in the food for removing the oxygen where can those be purchase? Also how do you know what size packet to use for each bag? Can you make your own soup mix and seal it in one pack then place in the mylar pack? Also is the mylar bags a necessary to keep the food for the longest time frame. Seems that I am running into a huge cost in order to get started with this project. I am enjoying the information so much. I always wanted to learn how to can my own stuff. I love the items in your canning jars and the storage shelf. It is so homey and practical. Thanks alot sorry for so many questions.

Wow. Great videos. And great site. I'm gonna get a dehydrator. :) Question for you. After you pickle a beat or cucmber (i saw the vid on ur site), can you dehydrate it again? Also the excalibur dehydrator's price is a bit steep. Have you had any good experiences with other, less expensive dehydrators? Like the Ronco, or Nesco ones? I'd like to find a less expensive one that dehydrates front to back instead of top to bottom as those brands do.

Thanks so much for getting the word out, and all the other useful information you've given.
