  @danimusik The vocals are actually performed by the Beach Boys themselves in the '66 sessions, some vocal tracks (in songs like I'm in the Great Shape or Surf's Up) weren't recorded in studio because of the abandon of the project, so Brian extrapolated them from various demos.

@zdlore1985 I also think that Gilmour approved the edit, rather I think that HE did it (as coproducer of the movie)... maybe he thought that even if all his fans liked it (of course we do!) it would have been too long for a commercial use of the movie! That's my personal opinion :)
