Three types of people have the permanent key to my heart: Figure skaters, singers, and actors!
I love ladies figure skating. All of the Women from the I.S.U. have fallen on the ice, but they also fell from Heaven long before that. You have to have be as tough as nails to do what they do. Other prerequisites are bravery, courage, and DRIVE. I once heard a skater say, "If you don't have any bruises or sprains, you aren't practicing hard enough!" It is just the skater VS. the ice. They fall and get back up on that hard, cold, unforgiving ice over, and over, and over.....................
I also love a great singer! To do it as well as the people on my channel do it is incredibly difficult. I think Carrie Underwood, Mandy Moore, Kelly Clarkson, and Joss Stone are the gold standards in their respective genres. (Country, Pop, R&b/soul) Michael Bubble, Harry Conick Jr....... I could go on!
Actors: Kristen Stewart, Evan Rachel Wood, Meryl Streep, Scarlett Johansson, so many of them are just incredible. After seeing Kristen in the films, "Speak" and, "The cake Eaters" I cried at the end of them. If it wasn't for her wonderful acting chops, that would not have happened. What happened to her characters in those films is as close to real as it gets, and sadly......it happens every day.
As for inanimate objects, I love high end stereo equipment, and home entertainment gear. I also do my own speaker design with LinearX's LEAP and LMS.
My system consists of: Philips C.D. 80 W/Isodrive, Threshold Dac 1-E Digital to Analog converter. a KAB modified Technics SL1210M5G with OFC wire in the arm, and a Sumiko Blue Point Evo-3 Cartridge. Spectral DMC-6 Preamp (Far and away the most noise free phono circuit that I've ever heard.) A Behringer 24/96 Ultradrive 3-way Electronic crossover. Three Threshold S-300 power amps Tri-amped to DIY speakers, 2-6.5 cu' Sono- subs with 2 peerless 260 SWR's in each, in Push Pull con-configuration. Also an Outlaw Audio 990 Processor for surround.
I have a JVC RS-10 external projector with a 7 foot diagonal screen with a viewing distance of 12 feet. Watching something like Spiderman on it is a THRILLING experience.
