My name is Gerrie and I live near Antwerp in Belgium, together with my girlfriend and two daughters.

I did scale modelling since I was a kid, then got introduced into the miniature painting hobby by a friend in 2002, starting with the Space Marine painting set. I played a few games, but didn't really like the regiment style of painting. Then a group at my local game store started with Rackham Confrontation. I immediately fell in love with the models, and I also decided to put more time into painting them. I didn't take long before I found out that I enjoyed painting more than gaming. In 2003 I decided to visit a painting competition for the first time, and to my surprise I got second :) I really got the taste of competitive painting, so in the years that followed I've won a lot of painting competitions. I also did a lot of commission work, I even had my own painting studio called Pendragon Studios with a couple of other guys. Nothing serious really, only to finance the hobby. I closed down that website early 2008, when the other members lost interest in the hobby and I also wanted to do something else. I've had less time for painting anyway since my oldest daughter was born in 2007 and a second one in December 2008. So I decided to start a blog and simply paint what I like, not focusing on painting competitions or commission work too much. I'm working on some Warhammer 40k armies (mainly Ultramarines) right now, on and off, together with a couple of other projects... some are showcase quality, some gaming, some in between. I just paint what what suits my mood :)
