The official YouTube channel of Congressman Doug Lamborn (R-CO-5).
About Me:

Representative Doug Lamborn was first elected to represent Colorados 5th district in 2006. He currently serves as Ranking Member on the Subcommittee on Energy and Mineral Resources of the House Committee on Natural Resources and is also a member of the Subcommittee on Fisheries, Wildlife, and Oceans. Congressman Lamborn also serves on the House Armed Services Committee, where he is on the Strategic Forces, Readiness, and the Oversight and Investigations Subcommittees. Congressman Lamborn also serves on the Veterans Affairs Committee, where he is a member of the Disability Assistance and Memorial Affairs Subcommittee.

Throughout his career in public service, Representative Lamborn has been a leader on pro-family and small business issues, a strong advocate for our men and women defending our nation in the military, and a supporter of lower taxes, immigration reform, less government spending, and protection of the Second Amendment.

Many of his principles and ideals coincide with the Republican Study Committee (RSC), the caucus of House conservatives, of which Representative Lamborn is pleased to be a member. With over 100 House Republicans, the RSC is dedicated to a limited and Constitutional role for the federal government, a strong national defense, the protection of individual and property rights, and the preservation of traditional family values.

Prior to Representative Lamborns election to the U.S. House, he served in the Colorado state legislature in the House and Senate from 1995 through 2006. Representative Lamborn received both his bachelor's degree in journalism and his law degree from the University of Kansas, where he attended as a National Merit Scholar. He has been an attorney in private general practice in Colorado Springs for 20 years, emphasizing business and real estate.

Representative Lamborn is married to Jeanie, his wife of 33 years. Together they have raised five children, including one daughter and four sons.

Doug,
I saw your ObamaVille tent city video. I can't agree with you more on your comment that the failed policies of Obama are to blame for many job losses. There are similar tent cities popping up around Denver, too. There is one plainly visible from the Light Rail between the Alameda and Auraria Stations. I want to thank you for your continued pledge to fight for Colorado Jobs.

Thanks for asking the hard questions about our nuclear posture this past week. Once again we are putting our fighting forces at a severe disadvantage with technology much older than most of our fighting men and women. Please continue to help keep our nation safe. God Bless and God Bless America.

Keep up the good work. It is going to get a lot tougher soon. I am afraid that congress has passed an illegal law and it may be struck down by the SCOTUS.

Representative Lamborn,

I am a senior student of philosophy and psychology at UCCS. Despite the abundant reasons to the contrary, you stuck with your unanalyzed and stubborn beliefs in voting against health care reform. I am calling to let you know that you made a mistake, and you have made a straw man of your constituents. Perhaps you were standing with some of the American people, but it was with those who do not know better than to parrot obstructionist talking points, who know nothing of critical thinking about such matters and who are convinced by tenacity and fallacious appeals. Having done your part, just know that I will now do all I can to have you looking for a new job after the upcoming elections.

nice job on the tent cities. Now you need to tell the rest of D.C. that the American people are tired of being pushed into a coner, I have a feeling that soon the people will start to push back. And when that happens, it's not going to be pretty. Let them know that by the laws of the Constitution, the people have the right to rise up and overthrow the government. If the house and senate keep going down the same road, this day will come sooner than anyone ever imagined. JMHO
