The pinnacle of my artistic ability. Never before have spent so much time on something like this. How long did it take from start to finish? I started working on the basic idea and imaginary storyboard sometime around the 26th december.
_What was it that compelled me to create this kind of crossover between two completely unrelated franchises?
I guess you can blame most of it on the NDS game "SRT OGSaga Endless Frontier" and its sequel "SRWOGSEF EXCEED". Even though they are spin-offs of the original SRW series, they completely hooked me.
_What is this based upon?
A character from the series named Folka Albark. Rarity's look is based on the character Alady Na´ash from Exceed. (In-game it differs hundreds of years inbetween, Alady is more or less Folka incarnated)
In the game "OG Gaiden" he (Folka) has an attack that looks just like what you just saw, only with mechas. Here is a video of his moveset:

_What's so great about them? (Endless Frontier/Exceed)
I'd have to say everything. But if I must say something it will have to be "music". Especially Exceed's soundtrack.
_But why these blasted ponies of all things in the universe?
I'm a fan of the show. There. I said it, but I'll explain more than that.
My ability to draw things (anything at all) has always been.. bad. Even my handwriting is bad sometimes. I have been using Photoshop for many years, but I have never actually drawn anything real in it. Only to manipulate other pictures or things like that. But one day I for some random unexplainable reason figured I'd try to draw a picture of Rarity. Didn't matter what, just something. But then I had been playing around for a while I thought to myself.
-"Hey... why don't I do something interesting out of it?.... maybe.... combine it with something else I like?" And there you have it. Super Pony Taisen. I did not own any digital tablet at that time (bought one when I was half-way through SPTEF) but that didn't stop me. Now when I have one I find it rather easy to do things. I'm able to draw digitally because photoshop has things that reallife does not. Undo/redo, Layers, save as, etc. I'm still just as bad with regular pen and paper. I also began with ponies because they are simple enough for even me to try my hand at digital art.
_So what did you use to create it, I assume Flash?
Actually, no. Everything visual was done in photoshop, except for one picture. The background image of "Canterlot Tower". It is a modified screecap from S2E1. There was simply no way I was going to repaint that whole thing considering its small screentime. And to put the whole thing in motion I used Sony Vegas (8.0).
-"What? Why Vegas?"
I do not know anything about Flash. I have several years of experience in working in Vegas, and it would have taken me even longer to finish this if I had to learn a new program in the process. That's why.

Finally, I present to you the video I've been working on for the past few months. Yes, some was procrastination, some was Vegas being a prick. But here it is, safely in the dispensary of the Youtube community. Have fun, and enjoy.
In this fabulous adventure, a once madness-ridden landscape of every common Team Fortress 2 server turns into a young little gamer's nightmare. Upon accidentally opening a portal to another dimension and video game engines, it's up to the one and only unique Engineer to fix what he has started. A dastardly little demon rounds up all of his friends and turn against him, so that the Moon will not delay in destroying mankind as we know it. Will the Engineer vanquish all evil and return the land to back the way it came, or will he fail unwillingly from the overpowering menaces that plague the atmosphere? It's up to YOU..................to find out.
HI, EXTRA NOTES:
- I started this in November, just finished today. Ain't that neat.
- Honestly I must say that Garry's Mod videos are becoming increasingly boring to make, so you may not see a lot more in the future. Maybe short little ones. Definitely I think this is my last 10+ minute Gmod video.
- First film to feature my little brother! Give him props, brah.
- All those amateur animations? Done by me. And those little sketches at the end, that you can barely see since Vegas won't let me do crisp HD renders anymore.
All in all, I like to thank all my fans who stuck around and waited for me on this film. Thanks ya'll, I'll be back soon enough.
P.S. A word to the tards: I'm not dead yet, so keep your pants on.
P. S. S. Rubberfruit was originally in the "beta" version of the intro, which involved him and I in a 3 second steam chat, but it was cut out due to a better idea as you could see.
