About Me:
Setting up a fiction blog, giving it a time based character by using the news and recent observations as a basis for the journaling out of which the stories grow. When I make a few of the stories into videos, this is where I'll post them.
Be forewarned that the one piece of advice a teacher once gave me that really stuck with me was "never censor yourself" - just let the story flow. In no other way can you tell the truth about your characters, but to let them take on a life of their own, and the sensibilities of your audience be ... darned.
That doesn't mean that I will be emulating David Mamet, but it does mean that what you see won't fit in with anybody's version of Political Correctness, not even my own. My characters will regularly do things that I highly disapprove of, and to a large extent, you'll be seeing them doing it.
Just as they would, were they to be found in real life.
Note: Every once in a while, I get a request to be friends. I certainly don't mind getting those, even if I am surprised to be getting them this soon, but I don't always say yes. If you have hundreds of friends, I probably won't, because I think friending on a social networking site should mean something, eventually, even if only from time to time. How many people can you find the time to follow? If you have so many friends that you couldn't ever keep up with what they're doing, then you're not getting to know them, and I probably won't want to become another person you don't really know, at all.
My interest on this profile is in storytelling, almost always. If you're here to do a newsvlog, that's cool, but that's really not what I'm here for, so I probably won't link to those. People who have these little movies to make and stories to tell - those are the friends I'm looking for.
Terminally argumentative people who are here for drama of the nonliterary, nontheatrical variety are invited to go away. I really don't care about who's fake, who's a (fill in your favorite expletive), or any other such nonsense. I'm here to write and direct, not to help people work through behavioral issues that they really should have left behind on their Middle School playgrounds.
