Winter is approaching and ski resorts across the country are opening their slopes. Of course resorts and skiers alike are hoping for record snowfalls this year, but with climate change causing global temperatures to rise, future ski seasons could be cut short, threatening the livelihoods of thousands of people and hundreds of towns that rely on outdoor recreational activity to provide jobs and fuel their economies.

The outdoor industry provides 6.1 million jobs. That's more than construction, retail or the oil & gas industries employ. And last year alone, more than 23 million people participated in winter sports generating $12.2 billion to the U.S. economy.

We must tackle climate change to ensure #MoreSnowDays for the strength of our economy and the good of our planet. Follow #moresnowdays on twitter (https://twitter.com/search?...) and sign the Climate Declaration (http://www.climatedeclarati...).

Help protect one of our most valuable natural resources: SNOW!
