To provide a breadth of high quality information on the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and research in cancer, The Cancer Institute of New Jersey (CINJ) and the New Jersey Commission on Cancer Research (NJCCR) are partnering in the development of this site. CINJ is one of 41 National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Centers in the nation and the only such center in New Jersey. CINJ delivers advanced comprehensive care, conducts state-of-the-art cancer research, and provides education and outreach regarding cancer prevention, detection and treatment. The NJCCR was established in 1983 to promote significant and original research in New Jersey into the causes, prevention, treatment and palliation of cancer and to serve as a resource to providers and consumers of cancer services. CINJ and NJCCR maintain a longstanding partnership in the development of educational programs targeting cancer professionals, patients, advocates and the public.
