About CREST Halifax
Communities and Residents for Sustainable Transportation (CREST) is a group of Nova Scotians living and working in the Halifax Regional Municipality. Our members are interested in playing a role in the strategic development of the region.
CRESTs mission is to promote the need for a cohesive transportation plan for Halifax Regional Municipality.
We are working to ensure any transportation development in HRM enhances the integrity of all communities and falls within a larger, strategic, urban transportation plan. We believe any new transportation development must be based on environmental, social and economic principles.
note: CREST is increasingly aware of the challenges of discussing sustainable transportation without mentioning energy. Expect to see more reporting and content on renewable energy and smart grid technology.
