On Wednesday, April 15, 2009 these library leaders and other library representatives visited with legislators during the annual Library Legislative Day at the State Capitol in Sacramento. Representatives advocated on behalf of the public library and strongly urged legislators to protect funding for library services in this years Budget. Leaders informed legislators that the usage at public libraries has skyrocketed in direct response to the countrys economic decline. (less info)
