About Me:
He is the author of three animated feature films, "West&Soda", "Vip my brother Superman", "Allegro non troppo" and numerous animation shorts, many of which were awarded with prestigious prizes including the Golden Bear for "Mister Tao" at the Berlin Film Festival in 1990, and the Oscar nomination for "Grasshoppers" in 1991.
He has also received five Career Awards and an Honorary Degree at the University of Bergamo.
Working in conjunction with renowned science journalist Piero Angela, Bruno Bozzetto has directed a hundred animated shorts for educational science programs.
His best known character is Mister Rossi, starring in three animated feature films and several animation shorts.
Bruno Bozzetto created several TV series for RAI and for the Italian-Swiss Television TSI, such as "Lilliput-put", "Mr Hiccup", "Stripy", "The Spaghetti Family", "Things" and "Psicovip".
Since 2000 he has focused on Flash animation, gaining great success since the making of his first 2D animated short "Europe and Italy".
Today, Bruno Bozzetto, with the full support of a new Milan-based Production Studio (Studio Bozzetto &Co), has been working on more 2D and 3D animated series for Television. The most recent of all is "Bruno the Great", created for Disney Channel for a worldwide distribution.
