About Stacy Igel/ENTREPRENEUR 2.0
Stacy Igel is one of today's leading trendsetters. Always destined to be a fashion designer; by the age of four she was outfitting her classmates and staging fashion shows. She grew up surrounding herself with great fashion and design and soon began working closely with iconic mega-brands such as Izod, Elie Tahari, Zandra Rhodes and Elsa Klensch. She grew increasingly aware of the need for an edgy yet wearable, stylish yet casually classic brand in the contemporary marketplace. Boy Meets Girl ® was born.
Stacy Igel's line is embraced by the public, and featured in major publications like InStyle, Teen Vogue, Lucky, People, Cosmopolitan, USweekly, WWD. Boy Meets Girl® is featured on the racks of countless specialty and department stores worldwide including Bergdorf Goodman, Bloomingdales, Saks and Fred Segal. Boy Meets Girl® is celebrated on television shows like Gossip Girl, the Vampire Diaries, America's Next Top Model, Beverly Hills 90210, various MTV shows and by high profile fashionistas like Eva Mendes, Rachel Bilson, Taylor Momsen, Anne Hathaway, Nina Dobrev, Rosario Dawson and Kristen Bell. Boy Meets Girl® has received several design awards and honors, and is the official staff uniform for the exclusive members-only club, The SoHo House.
Today, Stacy Igel is the Founder/Creative Director and Chief Brand Ambassador of Boy Meets Girl®. Projects currently in development include hosting a weekly online style show and a reality series for a major television network. Stacy has also been featured as a style expert and a frequent panelist at the Learning Annex. She's personally shopped and styled for celebrity clientele around the world, and continues to mentor young designers and advocate for causes that speak to her values.
Stacy Igel has teamed up with Bloomingdales and teen celebrity Sammi Hanratty to fight bullying in schools. She has collaborated with Urban Outfitters to raise breast cancer awareness. From ethics in business practices to health and well-being, Igel is consistent and persistent in her philanthropic efforts.
Abby Gardner of YM, Fashionista.com and Glo.com describes Stacy Igel as "a force of nature and one whose talent and drive I admire tremendously. What I love so much about Stacy is that, despite all her success, she's not afraid to get her hands dirty -- in the course of a single day she'll take on the role of accountant, salesgirl, PR guru, merchandiser, company psychiatrist and -- of course -- designer. That's how much she believes in her work. Basically, Stacy is the Boy Meets Girl® brand all rolled up into one dynamic little package."
