Like most great ideas, the BooBooLoon® brand Protective Petwear inflatable collar was invented to fill a void; one not satisfied by traditional pet care products. Our boxer had skin cancer surgery and was sent home from the veterinarian with a rigid Elizabethan style cone to restrict her from harming her wounds. The rigid collar was too uncomfortable to use.

We tried 'soft' and 'inflatable' collars that didn't work and finally improvised by using neck pillows and safety pins, which gave us the idea for the BooBooLoon® inflatable collar.

Our BooBooLoon® protective collar was developed over a year of testing a closet full of prototypes, following these design goals:

The new soft recovery collar must be comfy for your dog to wear twenty-four hours a day - when eating, drinking, playing or sleeping.

Avoid solid collars or Elizabethan style cones that require rigid fasteners; it must be an easy, flexible collar to position on your dog's neck. Velcro fasteners are ideal because they are quick to use thus causing minimum disruption to your pet. The BooBooLoon® can be fitted in seconds.
The protective pet collar should not rely on being threaded through your dog's choker or street collar to stay in position.

Create a flexible and inflatable blow up collar based on your pet's neck size rather than the neck to snout dimension that contributes to blocked vision and pet discomfort.

BooBooLoon® must be competitively priced in addition to being a soft, comfy, and efficient solution for your pet after surgery.
