Jamsessie Een paar spelregels voor de jamsessie: De jamsessie begint iedere donderdagavond om ongeveer 21:00 uur Zoals in het verleden regelmatig gebeurde is het niet meer mogelijk om te pas en te onpas op het podium te springen terwijl er een andere band en/of muzikant aan het spelen is. Van de deelnemers wordt verwacht dat zij maximaal drie stukken ten gehore brengen. Als het erg druk is kan het zijn dat er maar twee stukken kunnen worden gespeeld. Improviseren is leuk, maar hou de nummers kort; een langdradig, steeds herhalend nummer is voor het publiek niet echt leuk om te horen. Vrij 2 mrt::JENNBBLUES! JennBBlues www.jennbblues.nl Full Power Bluesrock.Onder aanvoering van Jennifer Bomert worden alle cliches over een bluesband overboord gegooid. De jonge zangeres klinkt als de ultieme kruising tussen Koko Taylor, Janis Joplin en Sass Jordan. Blues is niet alleen voor de oude garde, dankzij deze band kan iedereen er van genieten. We nemen een aantal bluesmuzikanten, we gooien er een jonge ziel bij en je krijgt een geweldig, vernieuwende bluesband. Deze bluesband uit Twente is geformeerd rondom zangeres Jennifer, bekend om haar rauwe, luide stem waar je kippevel van krijgt en die in je geheugen gegrift blijft staan. Ze staat al vermeld in het lijstje van beste blueszangeressen. Zo'n stem vergeet je niet! De band wordt versterkt door een geweldig gitaarduo. Gitarist Rob Wielens, ook wel bekend van The Marshalls, zorgt voor de stevige bluesrock, terwijl gitarist Egbert Knol weer de gevoelige bluessnaar laat horen. Bassist Erik Leuverink en drummer Marcel Engelbertink zorgen voor de strakke basis binnen de band. Vijf mensen die los van elkaar hun sporen al hebben achtergelaten in de scene van de blues en de rock. En dan mogen de leeftijden misschien ver uiteenlopen, ze hebben allemaal dezelfde passie, de blues! Ze staan bekend om hun opzwepende live-optredens en de ongekende muzikale talenten. De verwachtingen zijn daarom ook altijd zeer groot, maar daar weten ze elke keer weer aan te voldoen. "Er is niks mooiers dan op podium staan en een goed optreden weg te geven" Beinvloed door bands als de Red Devils, Led Zeppelin en The Hoax of artiesten als Janis Joplin, Stevie Ray Vaughan en Freddie King. Oude bluesnummers geven ze een eigen draai, waardoor ze alle leeftijden over de drempel trekken naar de wereld van de blues. ZO:BAS DE HAAN-NL BAS de HAAN www.basdehaan.nl @ Bluescafe Apeldoorn 3 juli 2011 'Plattelandsblues met een stadsgevoel' Bas de Haan is een bluesman. Hij zingt en gromt, speelt en slaat op zijn gitaar, blaast op zijn harmonica en stampt met zijn voeten. Behalve traditionele bluesnummers en klassieke stampers, speelt Bas ook zelfgeschreven liederen, smartlappen en ballades, al dan niet in het Nederlands. Zijn liefde voor de (plattelands-)blues is echter onvoorwaardelijk. Ieder lied is besmet met een gezonde klodder blauwe modder uit het Mississippi Delta-gebied van de Verenigde Staten. Ondanks zijn klassieke scholing, zijn het vooral bluespioniers als Robert Johnson, Son House en Muddy Waters die de zang en het gitaarspel van Bas sterk hebben beïnvloed. Maar voor Bas is de blues meer dan een muzikale stroming. Het is een gevoel, misschien zelfs een manier van leven. Een goed blueslied vertelt een verhaal wat iedereen begrijpt, omdat het eerlijk is en herkenbaar. Geen mens is hetzelfde, maar liefdesverdriet, eenzaamheid, geldgebrek of domme pech is van alle tijden. Met gevoel voor traditie en ontzag voor zijn helden, zingt Bas zijn eigen lied vanuit zijn eigen achtergrond. Natuurlijk schreeuwt Bas soms de longen uit zijn lijf, maar dat gebeurt meestal per ongeluk. Met zijn krachtige en warme stemgeluid gaat hij zelden op zoek naar die ene onbereikbare noot. Liever laat hij zich leiden door de stemming en de inhoud van zijn verhaal. Bas zingt op gevoel en vooral niet te gehaast. Deze ontspannen en ongekunstelde wijze van zingen ondersteunt hij met gedegen en vindingrijk gitaarwerk. Met de jaren heeft Bas een ogenschijnlijk simpele gitaarstijl ontwikkeld: strak, trefzeker en in dienst van het lied. Al jaren trekt Bas de Haan als eenmansgroep met groot plezier het land door. Niets is hem bespaard gebleven: drassige velden, wankele theekistjes, gammele bootjes en wapperende tentzeilen. Gedreven als hij is, werkt hij zich op iedere speelplek met bezieling in het zweet. Bas heeft ontdekt dat niet de gelegenheid, maar de mensen en hijzelf bepalend zijn voor een geslaagd optreden. Het maakt voor hem geen verschil of hij in een klein kroegje speelt of op een groot festivalterrein. Now, fiery blues and R&B singer/guitarist Kirsten Thien blazes on the scene and stakes her claim as a contemporary wild woman while putting a decidedly modern spin on the description. Thien was born on an Army base in Berlin, Germany, moving with her family to Maine soon after. Kirsten developed her talent from a young age with the music of Linda Ronstadt and singing in church in the "Northern Baptist" style. But her music was transformed with the discovery of Aretha Franklin, traditional New Orleans jazz and the classic women blues singers of the 1920s while attending Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. The thrill of performing in public compelled her to abandon the pursuit of a lucrative career in banking and investment for a creative one in singing and songwriting. Settling in New York City and releasing her debut She Really Is, Kirsten embarked on extensive touring in the US and Ireland. Working solo or with her amazingly tight and talented longtime band, honed by grueling one-nighters on the road and serious woodshedding at her Harlem home, Kirsten has become a formidable performer and songwriter. Louisianergy from Holland! : LA Blusa www.lablusa.nl , opgericht in 1990 in Delft, heeft in het begin duidelijk zijn inspiratie gehaald uit de "swamp music" van Louisiana. Maar tegelijkertijd heeft de band ook geput uit andere stijlen, waardoor er een zeer apart bandgeluid werd gecreëerd. Het repertoir van de band bestaat uit alles van wals via funky zydeco tot ballads en stevige cajun rock. Met een knipoog richting Mexico en verder kan de muziek ook als "Americana" worden omschreven. Een groot gedeelte van het repertoir bestaat uit eigen werk, maar voor een paar swingende covers draait de band ook zijn hand niet om. Live staat de band bekend om hun enthousiaste manier van spelen, waarmee ze een gretig publiek snel aan het dansen krijgen. La Blusa , formed in 1990 in Delft (Holland), has clearly been strongly influenced by the swamp music of Louisiana, but at the same time, having drawn on other styles, has created a very unique sound.The band's repertoire consists of everything from waltzes to funky zydeco and from ballads to steady cajun rock.The songs are mainly original compositions although some traditionals, re-arranged by the band, still play an active role in their repertoire. On stage the band is well known for its enthousiastic approach to entertaining an audience eager to dance the night away. Dankzij hun originele stijl binnen de cajun & zydeco scene, werd La Blusa al snel een gewilde band op veel blues & jazz festivals in Nederland, België. Duitaland en Frankrijk. Waarbij ook twee keer achter elkaar op het North Sea Jazz festival in Den Haag. De band is ook verscheidene keren live op de nederlandse radio en televisie geweest. De band heeft tot nu toe 4 CD's uitgebracht : Thanks to their original style on the Cajun & Zydeco scene La Blusa have remained a much sought after band, playing at many blues & jazz festivals in Holland, Belgium, Germany and France including two consecutive years at the North Sea Jazz festival in The Hague.The band has also made several live appearances on Dutch radio and television and has up till now released 4 CD's : "Dance on" in 1990 "Laisser le bon temps rouler " in 1993 "2 Dance On" in 1998 ( remix in 2000 ) "Louisianergy" in 2004    Play all 3 videos Play all(3)
