A Visitor's Guide to Reality

You are visiting at a very interesting time indeed. The accumulated wealth of human ideas collected over the last few thousand years reveal that you exist in a world where your best hope for understanding the very nature of your existence itself rests with Science, rational thought, skepticism, and other such modes of thought that acknowledge the need to test your ideas against the world, no matter how good they may sound in your head. Surprisingly, these modes of thought are largely incompatible with the beliefs of the majority of your fellow visitors on this small bit of carbon-rich rock adrift in a vacuum sea. A rock where billions of years of combinations and recombinations of increasingly complex molecules produced beings like you that can actually ponder, "How do I know if what I believe is true or false?" A bit of advice for your travels: believe in things that actually have evidence, and once again, enjoy your stay :)
