**************************
Note: This video channel and I are against pornography, prostitution, and sexual abuse, exploitation, and trafficking, but not against private erotica, personal private nudity, or non-public sex between consenting mature adults. For the time being and for the purpose of this video channel, pornography and erotica are defined as follows:

PORNOGRAPHY: Material that combines sex and/or the exposure of genitals with abuse or degradation in a manner that appears to endorse, condone, or encourage such behavior.

EROTICA: Sexually suggestive or arousing material that is free of sexism, racism, and homophobia, and respectful of all human beings and animals portrayed. (Note: I am not in favor of public displays of this.)

The above definitions are from "Pornography As a Cause of Rape", by Dr. Diana Russell, PhD, which is a book excerpt from "Against Pornography: The Evidence of Harm". Read excerpt at Diana Russell.com.

So because by definition pornography, (as it is used here), has to include abuse or degradation, if you are against abuse and degradation in regards to sexuality, then you are against pornography. So assuming that you are... welcome to the team! :^)

And special thanks to all the wonderful people who have made and uploaded helpful videos about pornography. Your efforts are much appreciated!

Note: Please visit my blog for anti-porn videos longer than 10 mins from Google Video. Enjoy!
City: Land of the Free. :-)

Interests and Hobbies: Please note that this video channel and its creator are not faith-based or religious. Videos that include any such content are included for those who might be, or for those who are interested in how various religions are dealing with pornography. Also please note that inclusion of a video on this channel does not necessarily constitute endorsement of all content of that video. A variety of anti-porn videos and other videos about porn and the sex trade are included to show what different people are doing. Please feel free to watch and learn from whatever you like from here and leave the rest behind. Thanks! :^) Also please note that there is graphic content and language in some of the videos, so please proceed accordingly. Thanks.

These are videos of criminals talking about how pornography has influenced their crimes such as molestation, rape and murder. Also included are videos about the connection of pornography and porn addiction/obsession to crime and sexual assault in general.
Videos about porn addiction, (or porn obsession/compulsion), and how it has harmed those addicted to/obsessed with pornography, as well as their families, loved ones, and others. (Of course that person's porn addiction has also harmed the people in the porn videos. This is because every time a porn video is being viewed and masturbated to, someone is taking pleasure in the objectification, exploitation and/or abuse of another person. This is a violation of someone's dignity and humanity.) This section also includes information about "sex addiction", etc.

Hi Melissa. I'm so sorry to hear about the porn harassment you are experiencing. I know what that's like as I get it all the time.

Have you heard about the new documentary about the harms of pornography called The Price of Pleasure? You can see many clips at their website ThePriceOfPleasure(dot)com, and I sent you the ones posted on YouTube.

Take care, and thanks for being a friend and a supporter of creating a better world for everyone. :-)

Greetings to all visitors! :-) I apologize that there is no longer open commenting here on this page. Unfortunately I had to disable that option because someone abused it and made profane, cruel, misogynistic and violent threats. However, I can still be contacted by using the message option. (And of course friends can freely comment.) So if you have any polite and respectful comments or questions, please feel free to share them with me via a message. I will respond publicly and/or privately to any messages that I feel are truly sincere and respectful. Thanks! :-)

In response to RussellsParadox below:

1) If you are referring to the U.S.A., regardless of what I think, most pornography is actually technically already illegal. It just isn't prosecuted.

2) I believe that there are legal measures that can & should be put into place that can significantly reduce the harm done to individuals in the production of pornography. These measures can also reduce the harm done to women, children, & society in general from the existence of, consumption of, & influence of violent, degrading, & sexist pornography.

The measures would include: restricting access of Internet pornography & other pornography to 18 yrs & older, raising the age of participation in pornography to 21 years old, & improving the health & safety standards within pornography production in a variety of ways, including implementing mandatory condom use.

A more detailed response with references is posted at my blog. (Post title is your question. Link in box at left.) Thanks. :-)

(This comment is from NoPornNoho. It got deleted by mistake and I am adding it back in.)

I think you could make a good case that commercial porn should be illegal to produce since it is essentially prostitution. The basic principle is that when you pay people to have sex, bad things tend to happen, namely one person feels entitled to abuse another.

There are lots of things you can't pay people to do in America. OSHA exists to enforce many of these rules.

This is not a free speech issue. People would still be free to make and distribute porn 'on their own time' if they want to make political or artistic statements.

Simple question: Do you think the production and/or distribution of pornography, for personal and/or commercial use, should be illegal?
