  RIM has not released the software to develop themes for Blackberry OS7 phones yet. I doubt they ever will. RIM isn't very accessibility friendly.

If your HD isn't in a box with it's own power source that may be the problem. WD recommends powered hard drives.

The USB port in the WD TV may not be supplying enough power for your HD.
