I am Ojibwe native from Minnesota and I love that there is a movement to teach the people of their true identity. This issue has always bothered me, I used to wonder why the people so called "hispanic" that were indigenous never identified themselves or would deny it. My husband is from Mexico and I try my hardest to make him understand the importance of knowing and recognizing who he is. I think people need to realize the problem the genocide of indigenous people starting with the 'hispanic" identity and learning who they really are!

I remember accidentally stumbling upon your channel and just being in absolute awe. It's taken me a whole year to full understand and grasp your work and now I'm doing my homework on my roots. I never really knew what to respond with when people would call me 'Indio' or "native American" but now I do and credit your channel and videos for enlightening me.

Please ignore the last comment that I posted. I made some mistakes that might throw you off. Thank you for all the work that you guys do. And yes, this is very true, especially about our own people being ignorant. I recently saw a video about the Maya in one of my History classes at my college and I saw that some of our own people weren't even paying attention to the video. A lot of our own people wave the Mexican flag and don't even know what the eagle landing on the cactus symbolizes. They say that English is a gringo language and they we should be speaking Spanish, but Spanish is also a gringo language that was forced down our people's throats by people who destroyed our civilizations and conquered us. A lot of our people don't realize how Mexico is ruled by the Criollos. A lot of our own people don't even know where the name Mexico comes from. And they're not aware of our ancestors' accomplishments. It's very sad to see that our people are even proud of being ignorant.

Loved the silent video! It's a tough sell that this is our land and our continent, but I still agree with the main thrust of the words and language.

(Muchas gracias).
