Founded in 1983, the AIDS Committee of Toronto (ACT) provides information, as well as practical, emotional and social support services to men, women and youth living with HIV/AIDS in Toronto. We also help people with HIV/AIDS to re-enter the work force.
As people with HIV/AIDS can have very different needs, we've developed a wide range of services. If we don't offer a particular service, we can help connect you to them at other places.
ACT also offers information and support to friends, partners, and families of people living with HIV/AIDS.
We work with gay and bisexual men, youth and women at increased risk for HIV infection, and partner with Portuguese-speaking communities, to develop and deliver HIV/AIDS prevention programs.
With over 15,000 people living with HIV/AIDS in Toronto, and two new HIV infections every day, HIV/AIDS is not over. That's why it's time to act.
