tri-Ace has announced two brand-new handheld titles they are working on together with Konami.

Frontier Gate (PSP) is said to have a Monster Hunter style, but with turn-based battles. Three players will be able to team up for multiplayer play, forming parties consisting of six characters.

Beyond the Labyrinth (3DS) is a 3D dungeon RPG featuring a young girl as a main character. The game's director is tri-Ace's Takayuki Suguro, director of Resonance of Fate and Valkyrie Profile 2. it's being produced by Konami's Shingo Mukaitouge, who previously worked on Elebits.

Frontier Gate is confirmed for 2011. Release details for Beyond the Labyrinth have yet to surface. Both games are being published by Konami.

Valkyrie Profile and Star Ocean developer tri-Ace has published an impressive new technical demo showcasing real-time physically based rendering on their engine.

This is a technical demo trailer of real-time physically-based rendering on current generation consoles (PS3/XBOX360). The contents in the video are not related to tri-Ace's current developing titles at all.

Resonance of Fate - The Secret Hours

Tri-ace and Sega haven't said anything about a proper sequel to Resonance of Fate (aka End of Eternity in Japan), but Zephyr's adventures continue in the End of Eternity: The Secret Hours.

The web comic has an original story which has Leanne, Zephyr, and Vashyron investigate a mysterious private military firm...

In an article analyzing tri-Aces ASKA Engine, which is seen Infinite Undiscovery, Star Ocean: The Last Hope, and Resonance of Fate, the developer mentions an unannounced game is using the engine.

The game began development in 2009, but tri-Ace have not revealed the title. The game is using a second generation version of the ASKA Engine which means it should perform better than the already released tri-Ace games.
It's most probably a new Star Ocean which is mentioned in a french magazine by a producer 1 month ago. But it could be also Valkyrie Profile 3: Hrist since tri-ace has seperate teams for both SO and VP games.
