  bgaviator - one solution would be to turn the cold water valve 1/2 way off, but modern laundry hook-ups all have one-lever valves, which is why I cannot turn just the cold down....
  
  But if you can do that, then go for it. Otherwise, the machine is pretty good. I find it doesn't get routine stains...

I've been adding buckets of hot water from my laundry sink to the warm washes, but can't hang around for doing that for rinsing too, and the rinsing is needed due to skin problems in my grandbabies so need warm rins...
