It's hard to say because John Darnielle is such a brilliant songwriter, but I *think* this is my favorite Mountain Goats song. As regular viewers might expect by now, this is my interpretation of the song as arranged for 3string guitar, and transposed a couple steps down to fit my voice into it.

;-) Hope you like it.

[Note: There are lots of great Mountain Goats videos up here on YouTube, mostly from live performances - check em out!]

There I was, right in the middle of "Electric Purgatory" - a documentary on black rock artists showing in the YouTube screening room - when Vernon Reid's guitar triggered a flashback that buckled my knees and splattered my brains all over the floor. Just like he did the first time. Bastard! I woke up with an insane desire to cover this song. Here is my first instrumental attempt, with a slight shuffle beat that I think is mildly cool.

[By the way, the rest of the documentary is also excellent ;-). I recommend it.]

A 3string acoustic guitar arrangement (instrumental) of Cat Stevens' famous ballad "Father and Son". In case you were wondering, no, the picture isn't crooked. The camera is. I hope you enjoy it anyway ;-)

More Eno? Coming up. Actually I am torn on "Fat Lady of Limbourg" - I enjoy playing it as an instrumental, but the lyrics are so amusing I want to sing them. It's a dilemma!

Ah, finally another who enjoy the challenge arranging Eno on guitar. I've been doing it for years, and very much enjoyed listening to yours. MORE, PLEASE!
