I enjoy a mix of 3D, FAI and big sky flying because no flight is complete without a little bit of all three.
We heli pilots do this for fun, the challenge, the fresh air. We teach, entertain, compete, shoot pictures, shoot video and travel. We're aviators, precision builders and mechanics.
Sometimes in this hobby you can do a bit of design work, be it graphics, part modification, scale recreation or the development of a whole new machine. It can be gratifying but because of the equipment risk, time demand and ability challenge, it's certainly not for everyone.
