Looks like just one large diaphragm condenser mic used to record the whole quartet, and that's it. Is this right? That's old school, I love it. Sounds incredible. I'm really a big fan of traditional Irish music, and I don't listen to too much bluegrass or ol' timey music, but I just can't get enough of 2nd Generation! I just wanted to let you know that you've inspired me to pick up the banjo. I purchased a Gibson style Recording King, it's about all I could afford. I recently put a LR Baggs pickup system on my mandolin and it sounds incredibly rich and natural. Do you have any suggestions for a banjo pickup system that doesn't kill the tone?
