When you short circuit the lines, use a long piece of chain instead of wire. That will keep the arc going for longer! Please make a video of this!

thanks for your answer. it just sparked my curiosity, thats all... as i had said there is a lot of pylons around here and in mishiwaka there is a power substation and theres pylons towering all over it. i dont get to see it long because im always driving by it. id like to sit and watch the substation for a bit maybe see some switching and some arcing but im sure i couldnt even stand near the fence.... considering its private property

i have a question about powerlines and trees. around here i am driving and i see sometimes trees on top of the powerlines or touching them but yet i dont see any sparks or fire. could it be possible those lines are shielded or insulated? i thought if something grounded touched those lines it would be on fire or sparking? just wondering, i think powerlines and electrical distrubution systems are cool. Especially pylons. which we do have a LOT of those around here.
