UNICEF UK Tagd: Know your rights, respect them and help change the world for children. Did you know that every child on this planet regardless of where they live is entitled to basic human rights? The UN Convention on the Rights of the Child has been agreed upon by governments all over the world, and yet, in many countries, these rights are constantly ignored or violated. UNICEF UK Tagd is a network of young people in the UK who are committed to children's rights. By fundraising, campaigning, and spreading the word, you can reach out to all the worlds children, adding your voice to theirs.

It actually really saddens me to see people writing negative comments on here. Firstly, Unicef is a children's charity that is not funded and run by the UN, it's work is based on the UN's Convention on the rights of the child. Unicef is not about pushing the UN's agenda it is about helping and empowering as many children and young people as they possibly can. Everyone who's criticising the climate change side of things, look at is this way; Young people are seeing changes in the world they live in and hearing lots of conflicting stories through the media. Rather than just sitting at their computer moaning, they are actually standing up and trying to do something to have an impact or merely express the fact they have concerns. With the amount of negative press young people get nowadays, I really can't see how you can criticise the people involved in this, or unicef for allowing young people a channel through which they can express their opinions.

Hi KuritaElite, thanks for your comment. UNICEF believes that climate change is having a devastating effect on the world's poorest children and is threatening to undo decades of development efforts. For more information, please visit: http://www.tagd.org.uk/BeInformed/TheIssues/ClimateChange.aspx and http://www.unep.org/paint4planet/facts.aspx

In addition, the fact that climate change is occuring and has been (and is continuing to be) caused by human activity is backed up by the overwhelming majority of scientific evidence and scientists. For more information, see:

Your video on making a difference with climate change is all based on anecdotal evidence, and doesn't cite any real scientific "knowledge" on climate change. More hurricanes, polar ice caps melting and record temperatures are not scientific evidence for anthropogenic climate change. Please, don't make this a one sided issue. Your three requirements are clearly biased. There is not consensus in the scientific community. To cite only one example of many, look at the fiercely contested debate between sun spot activity between astronomers and physicists, and it's impact on global warming. Multiple papers have been published on both sides of the issue.

Where did my highly rated comments go then?
You disabled comments after I had posted mine.
Mine stayed at the top and got massive approval ratings.
The fact that many people disagreed strongly with your brainwashing must have annoyed you.
