The West 7th Street Bridge project is a collaborative effort between the City of Fort Worth, TxDOT and Sundt Construction. A popular east‐west thoroughfare in Fort Worth that connects downtown to growing mixed‐used developments and the Cultural District, the project involves the replacement of the aging West 7th Street Bridge with a new signature structure -- the world's first pre‐cast network arch bridge. The bridge, which combines stunning aesthetics with tremendous value, is estimated to cost $25.9 million and was designed by TxDOT. The bridge will be open to motorists before the 2013 Holiday season, and approx. half of construction will take place off-site to minimize impact to motorists.
