Welcome to the official You Tube home of STYX.
About Me:

STYX - Tommy Shaw, James JY Young, Lawrence Gowan, Todd Sucherman and Ricky Phillips (along with the occasional surprise appearance by original bassist Chuck Panozzo), have performed more live since 99 than all of the previous years of its career combined. Two Super-Bowl appearances, Pollstar Box Office chart-topping tours with Def Leppard, Journey, Boston, REO Speedwagon, Bad Company (to name only a few), two more studio albums and no end in sight, STYX continues to conquer the planet, one venue at a time.

Styx is and always will be THE BEST BAND IN THE WORLD!! they know how to change to always remain perfectly glorious, and that's why they kicked out Dennis! He's the one who decided to stop being what Styx started as, while the rest of the guys carried on the legacy!! Gowan is the PERFECT replacement, and he is more like what DDY was in the 70s than the current DDY is like his former self!! Gowan is not an impersonator of Dennis; he is the perfect full time STYX MEMBER!!!!!! STYX RULES!!!

This is sad. Dennis who? Are you serious. J.Y. WHO is more like it. Seriously.. quit guys it's just sad. As you knock DeYoung realize he's not trying to fill some Canadian's shoes .... Had there been no Dennis there was no Styx. I have always Been a fan of Tommy, I still am but Everytime I see J.Y. interviewed he comes off far more arogant I am talking Lars Ulrich arogant.

I remember being at Styx's show in Cary, NC when it so conveniently rained during the concert. I was bummed at first cuz I thought the show would get rained out, but everyone stayed for the rest of it plus the encore. I have to say, that was probably one of the best concerts of my life, and I will surely never forget it. Y'all have changed over the years, but you're somehow still the same. Rock on, never quit, regardless of what hits you! :D

i just saw STYX Oct.16th at the Fillmore in Charlotte,N.C. and they are still amazing!! This was a birthday present to myself and i brought my 19 yr.old daughter with me and she hadn't heard but one of their songs but she loved them!! How many bands can sound as good if not better than they did when i saw them in the 80's. Tommy, what can i say but you're amazing and still look sexy as hell!! I can't wait to see them again and the Fillmore was the perfect place and the sound was perfect. got great pictures of all of the band. STYX ROCKS!!!!!!

Just my opinion, but Lawrence does a great job considering what he was stepping into. I don't know the whole story, but when I saw Styx in the 70's I was kind of taken back at how arrogant DDY appeared to be. It was like he was trying to say, "this is MY band", and I'm sorry, Tommy, and James are far too good to try and make them stand in anyone's shadow. I believe Lawrence puts on a better show. It's more like a band.
