hi stephen. really could do with a bit of help,got a 100 year old apple tree the fruit is maggot ridden and a lot of deadwood at the top of it. its a large tree about 18 foot high. would it live if i cut it right back???

I just read your profile, we could have been separated at birth. C.S. Lewis is my hero. I have a small farm in Michigan and I am just getting into apples. I have a couple of old trees that I am trying to redeem. I spent several hours yesterday during a lul in the winter to begin trimming an old semi-dwarf that seems to have some promise. I can hardly wait to get the time to see your other vids. Thanks!
