STA!

Formed by Paulo Belzebitchy and Pedro Costa, Solange Tô Aberta! is a electro-musical performative project. The band has a strong influence of the Queer movement; this movement refuses universal classifications such as "homosexual", "heterosexual", "man" or "woman", believing that those categories hide an enormous cultural and social variety. The lyrics of STA! encourage different perspectives and possibilities beyond the standard binary social roles like: male and female, straight and gay. Through their performances they question the general notion of gender, inspired by the concept of Queer Performativite, where you cross the varied identities as the tranny, transvestites, gays, lesbians, bisexuals and intersexuals. STA! experiments with electronic music trough the creation of samples and databases, having as main influence the mass culture music. They use rhythms and styles that cause discomfort in some people, the option on using those sounds were made because they are perfect to question and transgress, without losing the fun and pleasure aspect of music.

Formada por Paulo Belzebitchy e Pedro Costa, Solange Tô Aberta! é um projeto eletro-musical performativo e performático. A banda tem forte influência do movimento Queer, que recusa a classificação dos indivíduos em categorias universais como "homossexual", "heterossexual", "homem" ou "mulher", sustentando que essas escondem um número enorme de variedades culturais e sociais. As letras da STA! estimulam, por exemplo, aberturas e possibilidades além do binarismo homem e mulher, hétero e homo, vivendo através das suas performatividades queer, na qual se cruzam as variadas identidades sexuais. STA! experimenta a música eletrônica através da criação de samples e bases eletrônicas. Tendo como fonte principal a música da cultura de massa. Ritmos e estilos que causam desconforto para alguns, e ao mesmo tempo cumprem perfeitamente o papel de questionar e transgredir, sem abrir mão da diversão e do prazer. Deixe a moral, a culpa, e o superego, para quem se masturba escondido no banheiro. Afinal, gozar é apenas uma conseqüência quando você está aberta!
