thanks for the words of encouragement! it means a lot coming from someone like you! No I am not Japanese but I lived in Akita for half a year and got a shamisen and a book on how to play while I was there. You and the others on youtube like fiddlefella and Mike Penny have been a real help and inspiration for me though!

DUDE YOU'RE SICK ON THE SHAMISEN. It's guys like you that make youtube worthwhile. I actually want a shamisen after seeing what you can do with it. How did you pick up this instrument? How did you learn?
