Good Life Quick Death seedsavers - 5,990 views - 1 year ago
Good Life Quick Death was filmed in the southern highlands of Papua New Guinea in September 2006. This feast of six pigs and many chickens was prepared for Seed Savers' Network founder, Michel Fanton by the community of Waralo village.
At first we did not want to review this clip as we thought it might be too gory. However the pigs are dispatched very quickly and they live in bliss, nurtured lovingly by the women. Even our vegetarian friends do not find the pig dispatching footage distasteful.

This is in marked contrast to the life and death of pigs raised in industrialised agriculture.

Guardians of the Seed seedsavers - 7,188 views - 1 year ago
WATCH the 2 min 42 sec introduction to the 57 minutes film that we have just completed. As progress moves towards industrialisation and modernisation of farming and food processing a sad casualty is biodiversity as third world and traditional farmers are encouraged to adopt modern hybrid varieties and chemical farming techniques, often unsuited to their environment and needs. Along with this is a loss of traditional knowledge of the cultural, nutritive and medicinal uses of food plants.
This is a small clip from our upcoming documentary film highlighting how traditional farmers act as the preservers of biodiversity and traditional culture. Filmed in Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands, India, Sri Lanka, Umbria, Taiwan, France and Italy.
