I am a passionate amateur guitarist who focuses mainly on recording my own eclectic compositions. But, I also aspire to play jazz and other improvisational music. And that's (mostly) what I've chosen to put up here on YouTube.
These videos are all "as is" and I offer them for your enjoyment, amusement, and any other emotion they inspire. Ask questions or give me feedback, but no insults please!
About the recording setup:
The audio portion of some performances was recorded with a Zoom H4 recorder, which has a built-in stereo X-Y condenser mic pair. This was pointed at either a Redstone Audio RS-10 cabinet, being driven by an Acoustic Image Clarus 2R guitar amplifier... OR a Fender Princeton Reverb tube amp. If there is backing music, it's coming from hi-fi speakers on either side of the guitar amp.
Some audio was recorded with a Shure KSM-32 condenser mic into a Presonus Firestudio, feeding Garage Band running on a MacBook Pro.
