Flatwounds get better sounding with age. Chromes lose a bit of their brightness over time but their woody tones gets better.

Hi nbm1953...I honestly use my Ampeg VR stack for many sessions and videos (you'll see them in my other videos as well.) For my acoustic band I use 2 VR stacks side by side for more volume and punch. The BA115 is a fine amp with a slightly different tone due to the 15" speaker. You should compare...

It was originally used as a palm rest for picking near the neck. I use it while picking to keep my palm over the bridge in the right place for muted picking...to create 1960's bass tones (think Beach Boys.) I'm a finger player but the pick has it's place to help create classic tones!

I am endorsed by Ampeg...but the video actually focuses on hand techniques for achieving these different tones. I use a tube amp for the first half of the video and a hybrid for the second half.
