Riyazi Farook is a master's student reading Marketing Management at Middlesex University London and holds a Professional Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing from the prestigious and largest marketing body in the world, The Chartered Institute of Marketing, (CIM-UK). He also possesses Post Graduate Diploma in Islamic Banking and Insurance from the Institute of Islamic Banking and Insurance (IIBI), London. He was the youngest Sri Lankan to bring the country's Islamic Banking and Finance industry internationally and also contributed to other international and local journals. He was the only Sri Lankan to take part in the inaugural "Global Islamic Finance intelligence Summit 2007" held in London organised by the Financial Times UK. He had undergone training with leading consultancy companies (The Mersey Partnership and Leathwaite, UK). He also worked with leading Sri Lankan consultants. He is a member of the CIM-UK, also completed the required two years of Continuous Professional Development (CPD) which awards the Chartered Marketer status; CIM-UK can only award Chartered Marketer status and is the highest grade of membership of the Institute. He is an Associate Fellow of the IIBI-UK.
