Ok, unbelievably, I actually have to make an FAQ section, because even though I do appreciate your messages and comments, I'm getting ALOT of the same questions. So here is an FAQ for you~
1.) How was the audition process? (for JYP)
The audition corresponds with the video I posted. It was for an specific audition JYP held for NYC people only. The process was this:
-submit a video
-if you get a callback, you receive an invitation to audition live.
- if you pass the live audition, you move forward.
I didn't pass the live audition. But it was a good experience for me none the less. I was interviewed there and it was just a surreal experience. I wish I had done better though.
I also did participate in the 2008 and 2009 USA Open Auditions, which were just the general audition process. You get a number, wait in line, audition, and that's it.
2.) Did you make it as a trainee?
A: No, I am not a trainee under JYP, AVEX or any major label. Even though I do hope to become one. I haven't made it yet.
3.) How do I audition?
A: I usually refer to soompi.com/forums, under the 'Auditions' section there's a bunch of information on how to audition there. It's how I get most of my information. I believe you do have to be a member in order to see that information, but it's free, so there's no reason why you shouldn't become a member if you are interested. ^^ Other than that resource, I really don't have any special knowledge to share on that.
4.) Are you Japanese/ Korean?
A: No, I'm not. :[
The purpose of the FAQ's is just to clear the air. If you have any other questions other than these -- please don't hesitate to ask!
