I dig the the go-going-gone undulations of Russ Meyer, the ham-fisted, cigar-spatterings of Sam Fuller, the he speaks to my peeps stylings of Richard Linklater, the dreary despair of Fassbi as acted by Fassbi in movies by Fassbi, the epic and the shmaltz of Zhang Yimou, the unrelenting, so-wrong, it's wrong world of Lars Von Trier, the melding of A List genre pics with the B List bombshell bravado of Paul Verhoeven, the digging deep into the past to dig the future world of Craig Baldwin, the scum rock aesthetic of Jon Moritsugu, the love of all things faded and antiquated of Wes Anderson, the thigh-crunching fortitude of Vicious Cycles, the mono-mania of Multiple SIDosis, the all out mystification of All Out, the 'I'm sure they'll fire me, but 'what the hell'' attitude of Pigskin Orgasm, and a lot of other films. On the tv front I love the black as night comedy of Alan Partridge, Curb Your Enthusiasm and Nighty Night.

yeah I graduated last year. I'm most of the way through my first year in Santa Cruz. The film program is okay, mostly theory and not enough production. I'll be in the bay area this summer so let me know if there are any film related events or projects I can help with.
