This is the first part of a series of videos I will be doing using the (still in development) Arma 2 mod DayZ, a persistent world zombie modification. The mod's website is http://dayzmod.com
Having just finished being given a quick run down of the mod and its mechanics as it currently stands by the developer, we decided to split into two main groups, with a purpose of meeting each other around the Green Mountain TV tower in central Chernarus later in the day. Subsequent episodes will not be as seemingly cut down as this one, with less "teleportation" between locales and more discussion within party members.
Titling it the name of the mod, "DayZ," sounded a little lame, as it sounds like "daisy" and "Jay Z," so after pretty much ten seconds of brainstorming, I came up with "The Days Ahead." My thought process was hilariously simple, since the main developer (I think) is a New Zealander, I went with something inspired by their funny way to pronounce Z, "zed," and "The Days Ahead" was born. It also sounds pretentious so that's good! As always, there's no update schedule, just check in every now and again and you'll find new episodes mixed in with the rest of my normal stuff. When there's a good stack of them, I'll probably throw them in a YouTube playlist. -

Please excuse the weird artifacts in the video. I increased picture brightness for YouTube (it was pitch black in game), and that produced weird artifacts due to me recording with a lossy codec. There are probably about two or three more TDA parts remaining, not counting one-offs like the ShackTaxi video I'll upload soonish. I want to emphasize that this video was recorded three weeks ago. I know you can pick up flares now, but you couldn't when this was recorded.
