Sir Ashfaq Ahmed (August 22, 1925 September 7, 2004) was a distinguished writer, playwright, broadcaster, intellectual and spiritualist from Pakistan.He was regarded by many as the best Urdu Afsana (short-story) writer after Saadat Hasan Manto, Ismat Chughtai and Krishan Chander,Sir Ashfaq Ahmed passed away on 7th September, 2004 at the age of 79.

Bano Qudsia (Urdu: بانو قدسیه) Sitara-e-Imtiaz (born 1928) is a writer, intellectual, playwright and spiritualist . She is best known for her novel Raja Gidh. She is the wife of Sir Ashfaq Ahmed (late).
