About Me:
 
The Jury's special prize winner of the 2nd Beijing International Music Competition for Clarinet, Han Kim was born in Seoul in 1996. He began playing the clarinet from the age of 7, and he has won several domestic competitions in Korea, includes Grand-Prize for Kookmin-ilbo Concours on 2006,when he was 10.

In 2007, Han was selected as Kumho Prodigy sponsored by Kumho-Asiana cultural foundation, and had his debut recital with pianist Woori Ko, at Dec.1, 2007 in Kumho Art hall, Seoul, Korea.

On Feb.2008, Han performed Il Carnevale di Venizia by A.Giampieri at Young Musician Festival in Seoul, and June 30th, he performed Der Hirt auf dem Felsen D.965 by F. Schubert with soprano Sunhae Im on her recital at Seoul Art Center Concert hall.

He was selected as one of BEST OF THE BEST young players by Kumho Cultural Foundation and had his joint recital at 10th anniversary festival of Kumho prodigy concert series on July,2008.

He performed his first overseas recital in Japan Clarinet Festival 2008 at Parthenon Tama concert hall, Tokyo on August 30th., and played as a invited performer at 210th The House GALA Concert in Seoul, on December 27th.

On Jan.2009, he is named one of 10 promising performing artist in Korea by Megazine -the Auditorium, and played Mozart clarinet concerto k.622 with Euro-Asian philharmonic orchestra conducted by Nanse Gum at Kumho-Asiana New years concert, Feb.07,2009, Seoul Art Center Concert hall.

On April.2009, he participated in 2nd Beijing International Music Competition for Clarinet and won the special prize as the most promising young contestant.

On Aug. 2009, he appeared 3 times as the youngest soloist at 25th summer music festival held in Aurich-Ostfriesland, Germany (Musikalische Sommer in Ostfriesland), and got a spot-light from local newspaper such as Emder Zeitung and Ostfriesen Zeitung.

Currently he is the 8th grader of Yewon school in Seoul, Korea, and studies with Prof.Hyoun-Gon KIM and Yong-Gen LEE, and he will continue his study at School of the Arts, Singapore from 2010.

Pianist : Woo-Ri Ko

One of Korea's emerging young professional soloist and chamber musician, Miss. Woo-Ri Ko studied at the Seoul National University on a scholarship with He-Yeon Choi and Mannheim Musikhochschule D.A.A.D as an exchange student on 2006.

She won various piano competitions such as Joong-Ang Music Concours in Korea, and appeared at numerous concerts as a soloist and in recitals, including a guest performance in New Milennium International Piano Festival, that held in Spain on 2002.

Currently she continues her professional studies for Master degree at Seoul National University.

damn you're good. I'm a sophmore in a tiny private school in new hampshire, in a merica (about 2 hours from boston) and we totally have no money to pay you or to fly you out here but it would be so amazing if you could come and perform! I'm sure we could get somethign together i mean, wow you're good.
