I have to be the same way about writing. I've been stuck in one genre for a long time, so I've been trying to mix it up and add some different type of poems too. My whole Nanowrimo is a bunch of different stuff, and I'm going to have a poetry battle at the end. :D I love writing those.
It's interesting with the music-or-lyrics - there doesn't seem to be a preferred style. Someone asked Joss and Jed Whedon at a Dr. Horrible screening that I was at, and they do it opposite ways. Have you seen Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along-Blog?

Wow - I'm terrible at typing on phones. I took so long replying to someone's text that they just called me to ask their question. XD I'm glad you're still doing it - I'm doing it for the first time this year. But I guess you do have to give the fiesta back soon. By the way - I meant to ask you and Hank this - when you write a song, do you write the music or the lyrics first? Also, do you watch Doctor Who?
