Livestock for Landscapes focuses on helping land managers. farmers and ranchers use animal behavior to sustainably manage landscapes. Videos show animals learning to eat weeds to reduce herbicide use and improve habitat, and share the experiences of people learning to work with livestock in new ways.
About Me:

I worked for the Bureau of Land Management from 1991 to 2003 in education, communication, and research. My twelve years at the agency allowed me to pursue my goal of helping communities find ways to live sustainably in their environment.

I am continuing that work today. I have been researching and working with livestock as a land management tool for almost a decade. I now work on my own pilot projects and workshops as well as with the BEHAVE Consortium (Behavioral Education for Human, Animal, Vegetation and Ecosystem Management) to help others use behavior to improve wildlife habitat, control weeds and fire, and enhance the economic viability of rural communities.
