haha...They had curling irons but they were more like 'heating tongs', right? I remember seeing some ad footage at one time showing an older version of the curling iron. Bramcost publication has some 1930's styling books...I should get one. I remember Laura Ingalls Wilder used a sort of a 'curling iron' in the Little House on the Prairie series...it singed her hair off. Good thing those have come along, over the years. haha
