Here in the Philippines, they always point out that when the mother is going to die and the only way to save the life of the mother is to remove the child from the womb (i.e. miscarriage), then that is an exception to the rule.
The question is: what is the role of the Church in order to avoid such cases? I believe that our bodies are temples of the Spirit and life is so sacred that we should care about lives (1 Cor 6:19-20). We should teach our brothers and sisters the proper diet and the right food to eat everyday. I believe that the reasons in the case I mentioned earlier is that the mother doesn't take care of her health. She maybe also a drunkard or a chain smoker. Some mothers are career women: they only care about their careers but they always forgot to have enough time of sleep that results. |

I also think any person with half a brain can look past the fact that tearing apart an unborn child limb by limb is wrong not just because "God says no." Hmm, lets give that a thought.

Ever heard of a concept called "free speech"? He can advocate anything he likes too whether you agree with it or not. He is trying to speak to Christian's God given reason and common sence to the realities and evils of abortion. And if your vote counts on an issue that gives a president or senator the power to decide whether or not a mother can legaly kill off her baby, I think you can then see the connection between politics and your faith.

Founding a ministry, a NONPARTISAN religious institution, on ending abortion, is just weak, man. Congregations and sermons are supposed to be neutral on politics. You just didn't want to call it a political action committee or special interest group and register as such because you LOVE all that tax-exempt status nonsense. I say any church or ministry that preaches politics deserves to be taxed as punishment for violating such decency and separation of church and state. I mean, can't you think of a reasoned argument against abortion that doesn't involve "God says it's so"?

Are you consistently pro-life or are only pro-life on the issue of abortion?
What about the death penalty? War? Euthanasia? |

Dude, don't do this crap. Quit interjecting faith into politics. We both know faith and politics is a BAD idea. Quit acting like your position on abortion is the only "Christian" position. You're probably also a conservative on a whole host of issues, aren't you? When did Jesus say dismantling the welfare state and screwing over the poor is OK? You probably don't even base your opposition to abortion on anything Jesus said.
Like a lot of conservative Christians, you probably base it on obsolete teachings in the OT. Do you read the NT much? |

Fr. Frank, when are you going to stop pretending that your view on abortion isn't completely based on your religious views (which doesn't warrant making it illegal)?
I'd actually LIKE to see you make a video explaining where in the bible it discusses abortion (it doesn't) or at least how you have come to the conclusion that God cares about abortions. |
