An incident with Babar Ahmad that I have heard shortly before I was arrested. In it, he says that a fellow prisoner was about to be released. So, Babar said: 'I want to apologize to you before you leave." The man asked: "For what?" Babar replied: "When I was free, I saw your story on TV. However, it meant nothing to me, because I never thought it could happen to me. So, I did nothing for you. Now that I am in prison and it has happened to me, there are people who heard about my story and will think nothing of it, thinking it will never happen to them. Once it happens to them, others will think nothing of it and do nothing, etc..." So, if you feel that you can just sit back and read about all these cases and do nothing to repel this injustice and that it can never happen to you, think again.

BROTHER TAREK

I like how HLS has to send their show of force back and forth with bulletproof jackets and automatic weapons to add an air of danger to the protest. As if a handful of signs and hijabs could possibly worry anyone, they must make passers by think that a protest like this is worthy of exceptionally high security measures. Court houses constantly have protesters but seldom have need for HLS.
Our own protest for the Fort Dix 5 in June had HLS and FBI but most .of them left when it started raining.

May Allah [s] ease our brother Tarek's situation and make it a cause for him to be of from ahulul-firdaws al'ala inshaAllah

May Allah ease the affairs of our brother Tarek && hasten his release from captivity. May He break free his shackles && the shackles of all of our oppressed prisoners. May Allah give them the strength to deal with their ordeal.
May Allah punish those who have oppressed our brother Tarek && continue to oppress him, may He defeat them && smite them, && may Allah forgive us for being negligent towards our Muslim brothers && sisters.
May Allah unite the hearts of the Muslims && grant us victory over our oppressors.
